Shark Attack in Marin County (Kayaker Again)


A Great White Shark, with a girth larger than the width of my 22-inch kayak, hit my paddle from behind with such force that it slammed me forward to the front of my deck.

    Thomas Friedman on this week's "Meet the Press" told the story of Roy Schieder saying to the captain "we're going to need a bigger boat."

    In Friedman's analogy, the boat represented the federal government's stimulus package.

    This is the second time since November 2008 that Friedman has referenced Jaws and "a bigger boat."
